Epiphany

You know how they [mothers, scientists, aka knowledgeable folk] say staying hydrated and drinking lots of that good ol’ H2O will make you awake and alert? No? Yes? Well supposedly drinking water helps to keep you from getting sleepy.

Today at work however, I had an epiphany: Hydration has nothing to do with keeping you from falling asleep. It is the mere fact that consuming large quantities of water makes you need to go to the bathroom. Really bad. Every hour. Or more. Of course I’m not going to sleep when I am in a constant state of panic that if I uncross my legs I will have an accident.

Staying hydrated in order to not fall asleep at work…worst idea ever.

There has got to be another way.

An update and a picture (or 10)...

Well it’s been pretty much forever since I last blogged (aka less than 1 week)…it’s about time I got around to an update.

My wonderful roommate Leah had a birthday!! She is now the glorious age of 21…here’s to still not being able drink, woo! We made all sorts of goodies for her partay. Alas, it was a baking wonder that everything we made actually turned out. I didn’t even set the smoke detector off—a miracle indeed.

This may or may not be a double layer, chocolate fudge, strawberry filled cake. yummmm

On Sunday my sister had her senior violin recital. She was incredible as usual, and she even let me play a few songs. And while we’re on the subject of violin, can I just say how much I absolutely love mine? It has been such a blessing in my life and I would be lost without it. Music is a whole other language that lets me speak what words can never express. Thank you to my wonderful mother for putting up with years of the ear splitting practicing that hopefully paid off!

On Monday my brother turned 19! I don’t know how he got to be so old, but I’d sure like a word with time for sneaking up on me like that.Happy Birthday Tys! Love you bud!

Oh and did I mention I finally got to go golfing? Ahhh yes, the beautiful game has been calling my name for quite some time—it felt great to get back out there. Though very rare (for me at least), there is nothing like that beautiful sound when your club connects with the ball perfectly. Ding. Whoooosh. Yes.

Well, now that i got that post out of my system, homework calls (actually, its kind of screaming right now).

Worst fortune ever...

I don't like Chinese food one bit. Nope.

Today in class the person sitting next to me was eating a heaping carton of Chinese food . It smelled foul, looked foul, and in my opinion probably tasted foul. Aside from my gag reflex kicking in countless times, i think i handled the situation rather well: eyes straight ahead, occasional nose plug, and leaning as far in the other direction as possible (i may or may not have invaded my other neighbor's personal space completely).

When the hour mark rolled around, i could not have been more ecstatic to vacate the premises immediately and breathe in some sweet, sweet fresh air.

To my Chinese food consuming neighbor: Ick. Just leave it home. In fact, don't purchase it at all. I promise you won't regret it.

During a recent password audit, it was found that a Blonde was using the following password:

When asked why she had such a long password, she said She was told that it had to be at least 8 characters Long and include at least one capital.

HA!

Also, my roommate is a gourmet chef. Two words: Cream. Puff.

It's a miracle i haven't gained 500 pounds this semester. One more cream puff and i just might be asked to be the next Pillsbury doughboy!

Congratulations to the Happy Couple!!!

From Kate's wedding dress, to the angelic choir; from the British hats, to the jaw-dropping Westminster Abbey...it was all incredible! Watching the wedding was worth every second of sleep i lost last night.

And after reading and watching hours and hours of coverage on the wedding and the details leading up to the event, i know one things for sure:

Insane right? How on earth is it possible that this movie looks better than part one?!
