So Long California

Welp, I’m back.

Back from California, back from Disneyland, back to Provo, back to reality, back to snow, back to school. If you can’t tell…I’m thrilled! Not. Real life can be somewhat depressing when you’ve escaped it for a little while! And an escape is exactly what I had.

Disneyland was a riot. Despite the rain and my overpriced hamburger I’d say the day was as close to perfect as they come.

A perfect day at Disneyland was followed by a perfect day on the beach...

California was fantastic, to say the least. I already wish i was back. It was just what i needed to get me through the next long haul of school...8 weeks without a break! gulp.

And last but not least...I'd like to give a shout out to these fine folks:

Thanks for a fun weekend. Love you all!

Sorry about the picture overload...i just couldn't decide which ones to post!

I Caved

So...i told myself i wouldn't blog ON Valentine's Day ABOUT Valentine's Day...because it's kind of cliche. But i just don't care. Why you ask??

Because i LOVE valentines day!! Significant other or not, i think it is the greatest holiday. Yes i might have thrown up a few times today as i witnessed the cheesiest of cheesy gifts and sweet nothings being exchanged on campus (eww).

But i also felt the love and expressed my love! Which probably explains why i am so happy right now. Not to mention i got the cutest cup of goodies from my parents which will prolong grocery shopping just a little longer. Yessss.

So here's a shout out to the wonderful Luuuuuuuv holiday and whoever thought that such a holiday should exist.

XOXO

{the head bobber}

You know the feeling.

You are so tired that trying to keep your eyes open seems like the next Mission Impossible. Despite all efforts to keep your lids from shutting you give into the burn. And boy does it feel good; like dousing a fire with a splash of cold water. Oh the relief!

Slowly you begin drifting into dream land. You are partly aware of the conversations going around about you; but the other part of you is getting lost in the abyss of sleep.

Just as that sleep is about to consume you, all the muscles in your neck relax and before you know it, your head has bounced down then up again, rudely awakening you back to real life.

Who knows how long you were asleep? 5 seconds or 5 minutes…it’s hard to tell. Either way, your head bobbed you back to reality. Darn.

But just wait, the burning will be back and the cycle will repeat itself.

How do I keep myself from being a head bobber? I mercilessly laugh at those who are! I caught this unfortunate soul bobbing his life away in Political Science yesterday.

Poor guy. He should probably stop staying up so late doing “homework” (aka facebook stalking, you tube watching, and web surfing) and get some sleep.

Fredette About It...

For all you Jimmer fans out there (and all you not Jimmer fans, though i don't know how that is even possible) you HAVE to check this out.

Some poor soul wrote a letter of complaint about all the Jimmer mania; the letter was published, and within hours she had HUNDREDS of facebook comments posted on her wall in response to what she wrote.

Follow this link to read the letter and the comments that soon followed...

Who knew BYU students were so dang witty?

And to that unfortunate girl who wrote the letter, i say: lesson learned (i hope).

You do not insult The Jimmer.

Mission Call

My cute little brother got his mission call last night!!!
Where is he going you might ask?

I'll give you a few hints...

Tyson has been called to serve in the

SCOTLAND/IRELAND MISSION!!!

He leaves June 24th and reports to the England MTC!!!

Yay Tyson!!!!! It is the PERFECT call for him. He will be such an awesome missionary (and he is going to come home with the hottest accent)!!

I'm thinking my family better start planning our trip to pick him up RIGHT NOW. And who knows, this could be him in two years...

Photo compliments of my lovely sister Chelsea

Congratulations Tys!

I couldn't be happier. And neither could he obviously...
