At the cabin...
Bug spray is your BEST friend
Bear spray is also a pretty good buddy
Dirt is inevitable
A walk around the block is a stroll in the middle of nowhere
Mt. Sawtell is your compass
No one looks at you funny for wearing a cowboy hat, no makeup, and yesterday's clothes
Horseshoes is more than just a game
The stars will change your life
A log in the fire is the perfect way to start your day
Spotting a moose is just another thing to check off your daily to-do list

you know what i love?
Going to the car wash, running out of change halfway through the "soap" process, and driving home in a vehicle completely covered in foam.
Its the best.
On another note...tomorrow i am headed to one of my favorite places in the whole world:
Island Park.
Little log cabin, here I come!
Be back in a few days!

Someday
Went shopping with this girl a couple days ago and had a good laugh when we encountered the new Justin Bieber perfume, better known as "Someday".
Here's the breakdown:
The name: not too clever
The commercial: cheesy (not to mention awkward...flying through clouds in between sprays and kisses? enough said)
The bottle: slightly over the top
The scent: AMAZING!
Seriously, it smells so good. But here's the thing: I could never purchase a perfume that belongs to the Biebs.
Picture this:
You are out and about doing who knows what, when someone gets a whiff of your newly sprayed perfume. They exclaim "wow you smell so good! What are you wearing?" In return your skin turns a light shade of red and you reply, in between coughs, "Justin (cough) Bieber (cough, cough)".
Yeah...no thanks. No matter how good the smell, i just don't think i would ever be able to admit to wearing such a thing. Is that snobby of me? Or just completely commonsensical?
And in case you are wondering, commonsensical is a word. I just looked it up.
You know i love you Biebs, but not enough to wear your delicious smelling perfume.
If you have already purchased said scent...well, more power to ya!

The End
Well it is official.
The beloved Harry Potter films are over.
It’s been a fun…decade, really. And I’m kind of feeling a little lost now the dreaded end is actually here! If you listen carefully you might be able to hear me crying in the distance...
Oh well, I’ll get over it. Luckily I can just read the books again.
And again.
And again.
Anyway...the movie premier was lots of fun; and what better way to kick off the night than with butterbeer?
YUM.
And as far as the film goes, I really liked it! Naturally i had some critiques, as the movie veered from the storyline in the book a bit; but all in all i was quite pleased.
And yes, i will most definitely be seeing it again.

This Girl...
...just got called to serve a mission!
No, no, no, not me. The other girl!
My good ol roommate from a one-stoplight-small-town-in-wyoming is going to be in for a shock when she heads to Detroit in September.
Congratulations Kristen, I'm so excited for you!
On another note, who is excited for Harry Potter???
It's kind of a big deal that my countdown now reads "0 days".
Gah!!!
A couple days ago, a friend showed me a HP parody of Rebecca Black's "Friday" video.
Sooooooo, for your viewing pleasure...

Last Night...
Do you ever have a night sleep that makes you more exhausted than you were when you went to bed?
Well that is exactly what happened to me last night…in fact I think it has happened to me every night for the past couple weeks. Maybe I have too much on my mind before I hit my blessed pillow but this little trend is starting to get old!
Last night’s dream(s) consisted of driving through Heber with my Grandma, discovering an H&M in the basement of my apartment, washing my hair with whipping cream, my jaw popping out of place in the middle of a church talk, filling my scooter up with ethanol, getting lost on a dirt road overly inhabited by bees, a rough goodbye, and swimming in a lake trying to reach my house that resided in the middle, but never quite making it there. Can I get a dream interpreter please?
And since it came up, can I just say how much I HATE, hate, hate, bees? They are without a doubt one of the worst living things to ever grace this planet.
There is nothing worse than hearing that dreaded “bzzzzz” in the distance. You begin frantically looking around trying to find the source of the sound when all of a sudden the little creature is right in your face. At this point, the natural reaction is to suck in your breathe as fast as you can, maybe making a gasping noise here and there. Then, you BOLT. If you are lucky, the thing will leave you alone. If not, it will chase you until it has forced you back into the indoors where you can watch disdainfully through a pane of glass as the bee buzzes around happily and gloating because it has just won the game.
Okay, maybe I am the only one that reacts that way. But still...

{I'm Alive}
Soooooo, I kind of took a sabbatical from social network...facebook, blogging, etc. for no reason at all. But wow. I can't believe i dropped off the face of the blogging world for practically a month. My sincere apologies to my avid readers...because i know there are SO many of you. Ha!
Since June 15th...
I happily watched one of my best friends come out of the temple with his adorable new wife. Congrats Chris and Lauren!
I had a rough time saying bye to this kid. I can't believe my little brother is on a mission, in Scotland no less!
I've eaten way too many of these:
I had a blast babysitting my little cousins. Games, science projects, treats, movies, and a flood in the backyard made for a perfect weekend!
and in case you were wondering, there are 3 of them in this picture
I reunited with my long lost sister who has been out of town FOREVER!
I witnessed this little mishap which strangely made me more proud to be an American...
I ran into a couple of these on hole 11...
I've watched this show waaaay too many times. Oh wait, that's not possible! Here is a clip from one of my favorite dances thus far...
AND I've continued my countdown to the most anticipated day of the year...6 more days till HARRY POTTER!!!
WHEW.
Glad i got that post out of my system.
Be back soon
for reals this time!
